Budget Advice

Love INC offers one-on-one budgeting advice as an important part of its ministry. Budget advice enables our neighbors better manage their money and find ways to take control of their situations.

Anyone who would like budget counsel can call Love INC. Appointments are made with volunteer budget counselors, most of whom are experienced in this field or are professional accountants.

Budget counseling is always handled as confidential information within the Love INC office, and no single cross-gender counseling occurs.

Budget review and counseling is a rewarding area for volunteers as well. Many people whom our counselors advise have never seen their spending patterns and expenses laid out in black and white before - it is a discovery that can be eye-opening and valuable.

Can you help someone figure out what their monthly income and expenses are? Do you have an eye for determining where spending patterns are askew, and where savings may be found? Are you understanding and patient? Can you show someone how to balance a checkbook? How to plan their spending? How to create financial goals?

Love INC provides training and materials for our volunteer budget counselors.

One time budget reviews are given as a part of our overall help for individuals who find themselves in difficult financial circumstances and who request assistance from Love INC. We also give budget reviews for individuals needing car repairs and persons requesting an automobile from Love INC.

Love INC seeks to involve church volunteers, utilizing their gifts and talents, to minister to material, emotional and spiritual needs of Gallatin County residents.
