Nursing Home Ministries
Can you read aloud? Can you walk slowly in the
mall? Would you be willing to work on a simple craft project with an
elderly person? All of these are areas open to Love INC volunteers
in our Nursing Home Ministries.
Nursing Home Ministry has several facets.
One-on-one visits with residents of two local nursing homes, sharing
talents (like singing), reading aloud, Bible study, special youth group
activities, and more. Gallatin County Rest Home and Mountain View
Care Center are served by Love INC volunteers on a regular, on-going
basis.
Love INC volunteers also serve as Compassionate Vigil
Volunteers for nursing home residents who find themselves all alone during
their last hours.
Finally, in conjunction with the Activities Director of
one nursing home, Love INC volunteers form teams, each team member
"adopting a resident" and rotating visits to enjoy crafts,
games or conversation with residents. Here's an place for you or
your whole family to
spend one hour once a month brightening up another person's life.

Love INC seeks to involve church volunteers, utilizing
their gifts and talents, to minister to material, emotional and spiritual
needs of Gallatin County residents. Nursing Home Ministries is one way
Love INC involves and coordinates volunteers from several churches to
minister to the spiritual and emotional needs of our neighbors.
