Pastors' Events
Periodically, Love INC hosts events exclusively for
pastors. Our Pastors' Breakfasts are designed to provide pastors
with a meal and helpful information that they can use in their
ministry.
Pastors' Breakfasts include a hearty breakfast,
information about Love INC and its current direction and plans, a
question-and-answer time, and a topic of special interest (presented by a
guest speaker who is an expert in the field).
All Pastors' Breakfasts are offered free to local church pastors. It is our desire at Love INC to provide resources
for pastors and their congregations so that ministry can flourish in the
Gallatin Valley. Both partner and non-partner churches are invited
to these events.
In February, 2003, the Pastors' Breakfast included a
presentation from two Bozeman Police Detectives on how to handle a
potentially violent person who may threaten people in the church office or
church service. Information included ways to prepare, and specific
actions (and words) to avoid using.
In August, 2003, a Bozeman psychiatrist presented
information about Clinical Depression to over 30 local pastors at a Love
INC Pastors' Breakfast. In addition, information about
anti-depressants prescribed by medical doctors was provided.
In February, 2004, a Justice Court Judge gave the
pastors information about Restraining Orders and Orders of Protection.
In May, 2004, the pastors heard presentations from a
Bozeman Police Detective and from the Director of Gallatin County Victim
Services, on the topic, "Protecting
Our Children and Our Flock" - important information to safeguard
churches from molesters and others who seek to prey upon congregations.
