Referrals
The best known resource that Love INC offers is its
referral ministry for people in need. For a person with a need,
the Love INC office strives to find resources to meet that need, whether
through a referral to a church resources or to community
resources. Through our in-take process,
we help people clarify and determine the nature of their need.
Then we are able to refer them to the best source of help.
Information
Another rich resource that the Love INC office
provides is, perhaps, less apparent. We offer help to churches,
church members and all Gallatin Valley residents by serving as an
information resource. Because of Love INC's networking connections
and familiarity with services available in our area, we can provide
information about what kinds of helps are available and where to go to
find help. We are also able to provide information about Love INC
affiliate offices in other communities.
Prayer Chains
Gallatin County Love INC has a prayer chain that
connects to the prayer chains of each partner church. As a result,
anyone who desires intercession and supplication to be offered in
prayer, may call the Love INC office ~ the prayer request will be
forwarded, involving potentially hundreds of people's prayers.
Verification Services
For pastors and church leaders who desire it, we offer
the resource of verification. Many church leaders, when confronted
with a person requesting help, are unsure if the need is real and/or if
the person is representing his/her situation accurately. As a
result, these leaders refer the person to Love INC. As one pastor
said, "I tell everyone who asks me for help to check with you
first. We can help, but I want to you to check it out for me
first." The reason? Because Love INC can quickly check
with other agencies and organizations, can interview the person
requesting help and can determine how best to proceed to offer real
help.
Advocacy
Another resource offered to our neighbors who request
help is advocacy.
